Today I am going to take you all back to around 2-3 million years ago. When our mother earth had created with full of nourishment and abundance. Nature was to flaunting his beauty on the seventh cloud. All creatures which have been created were starting to live in harmony and Also, started to contribute their role in sustaining the ecosystem. After a few million years human beings started evolving from Apes to Homo Sapiens. This evolution marks a spot for the development of whole human life for their sake. As evolution is a never-ending process so human brain also gets evolving in a progressive as well as retrogressive manner.
Now, after many civilizations and colonization, humans are becoming smarter and wiser. They thought there is so much abundance in our surrounding let’s utilize for the sake of the human race.
Now, when modernization takes place every human got separated by their states and region and a feeling of competition has embedded between them. This feeling of competition is resulting in the deterioration of the whole natural ecosystem.
Let’s have a look at one threatening accident which happen recently in the Gulf Of Mexico.
This incident is very dreadful and highly toxic for the whole water ecosystem.
Introduction of Gulf Of Mexico:
The Gulf of Mexico is an ocean basin and marginal sea of the Atlantic Ocean, largely surrounded by the North American continent. It had bounded on the Northeast, North, and Northwest by the Gulf Coast of the United States on the Southwest and the south by the Mexican States and the southeast by Cuba.
The Gulf of Mexico is around the sea, called the Gulf. Land in North America is around much of it. The Gulf Of Mexico had created by plate tectonics something around 300 million years ago. The shape of the Gulf of Mexico is oval and it is about 810 nautical miles wide. Floors comprise sedimentary rocks. It has partially connected to the part of the Atlantic Ocean and this Gulf Experiences very small tidal ranges.
The size of the Gulf basin is around 1.6 million km square. The volume of water in the basin roughly 2.4*10^6 cubic kilometres. The Gulf of Mexico is one of the most important offshore petroleum production regions in the world. Making up one-sixth of the United States’ total production.
Catastrophic Event Report:
On July 2nd Tribulating event happened in the Gulf of Mexico. This event is so much dreadful and highly toxic to whole marine life. The fire began in an underwater pipeline that connects to a platform at Pemex’s flagship Ku Maloob Zaap oil development, the company’s most important. This event took place Early on Friday.
Bright orange flames jumping out of water resembling molten lava was dubbed an “eye of fire” on social media due to the blaze’s circular shape, as it raged a short distance from a Pemex oil platform.

Impact on Aquatic Biota of Gulf of Mexico:-
The Gulf of Mexico accounts for a large number of aquatic as well amphibian species. One can found whales and dolphins, coast dwelling Manatees. Fish includes tarpons and snapper. Non-chordates organisms like corals, shellfish, and worms. Reptiles and sea turtles have also found here in proper numbers.
But, the Gulf of Mexico has always been a threat to aquatic organisms. Series of oil spills, ignition of oil spills, etc. These incidents greatly the living of organisms. Almost 18% of organisms had affected by these calamities. These calamities are creating a great hindrance in maintaining harmony in the aquatic system.
This recent incident tremendously affected the aquatic entities brutally and largely. The water temperature has increased very hugely resulting in a reduction of dissolved oxygen which creates a huge discomfort for organisms to breathe comfortably beneath the sea. Thermal inclination(Increase in water temperature) has caused many lives of death since animals living in water are most cold-blooded(can’t adjust temperature) this great shift is not easy to bear easily.
Thus, this incident has greatly deteriorated for creatures living in the Gulf of Mexico.
In conclusion, PEMEX which has a history of tremendously harming the natural ecosystem with its huge tragedies has proven from time to time in history. Notable measures have to be taken for preventing future calamities like this. Corruption records of PEMEX had already pointed, Company is literally debted with huge shares and losses. Due to this debt the maintenance of efficiency was very low and its direct impact on the environment and other animals living In the ecosystem. So people have to really think wisely because now this is the high time for all of us. We can’t let our Mother Earth deteriorating like this.
